Use : In Thailand, the product in the National List of Essential Drugs to help relieve sore throat, fever, Aphthous ulcer. In traditional medicine in Asia, Indian Echinacea has long been used for supportive symptomatic treatment of upper respiratory infections, such as common cold, sore throat; pneumonia and tonsillitis*.
Composition per unit : Each capsule contains: Andrographis paniculatadried leaf extract 400 mg providing Andrographolide not less than 16 mg.
Dosage Form : Capsule
Pack Size : Box of 12 sleeves x15 capsules
Recommended Dosage & Administration : 2 to 4 capsules four times after meals. If the symptoms does not improve or become worsen after continuation of use more than 3 days, stop taking it and see your doctor
Special Precautions & Warnings : Do not use Andrographis in:
- pregnancy and breast-feeding, person with hypersensitivity to Andrographis seen as rash, swollen of face, eyes or mouth.
- If one or more side effects occurred, stop the drug immediately and consult your doctors.
Fertility problems : Animal research suggests that andrographis might interfere with reproduction, but this hasn’t been shown in people.
Andrographis is not recommended for people with auto-immune diseases.
Andrographis may have anti-platelet aggregation effect, reduce blood sugar level and blood pressure, induce liver enzymes*.
Please consult your physician if you are taking blood pressure or immune system or anti-clotting medications before taking Andrographis.
Side Effects : Common side effects: Loss of appetite, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, headache, runny nose, and fatigue. In high doses or long-term use, andrographis might cause swollen lymph glands, serious allergic reactions, elevations of liver enzymes, and other side effects*. Long-termed use may cause weakening of arms and legs
